High Meadow Miniatures was established in 2004, and is located in the beautiful Colorado mountains on the western slope, just three miles outside of Collbran, Colorado, and 45 minutes east of Grand Junction, Colorado.
We are conveniently located four hours west of Denver, and less than two hours west of Utah.
Our mission is to breed refined, versatile, show quality miniature horses with championship pedigrees, and wonderful temperaments for the entire family. We specialize in cream dilute and dun pintos, but as the saying goes
"A good horse is never a bad color".
We are a small program, believing that quality is better than quantity. Our herd consists of two stallions and eleven mares, all very carefully selected and from many of the top farms in the country such as Little King Farm, Freedom Hill Farm, Cherry Orchard Hill, Ranger Creek Miniatures, Wiltz Family Miniatures and Dos XX Minis.
Our herd is based on the famous Boones Little Buckeroo X Rowdy cross. This combination is tried and true in the show ring, and very consistently produces top quality horses with gorgeous heads, lots of leg and great refinement.
On the Buckeroo side, several names found in our horses' pedigrees are Little Kings Buck On Broadway, Alvaders Double Destiny, Little Kings Buckeroo Times Two, Little Kings Buck Echo, Ima Boones Little Buckeroo Too, Buckeroos Top Cat, and Boones Little Buckeroos Pretty Woman, to name a few.
On the Rowdy side, our horses tie to Cross Countrys Call Me Sir, Lazy N Redboy, To Sir With Loves Boomer, and LaVista Flamboyant Remark.
Other bloodlines in our herd include Gold Melody Boy, East Acres Golden Jubilee, Roan Ranger, Flying W Farms Little Wardance, Wittmaaks Mickey Mouse, Johnstons Gold Bar, Komokos Little King Supreme, Flying W Farms Little Blue Boy, and Orion Light Vant Huttenest.
